Looks like a typical day in winter, right? Except that this picture was taken at 8:00 am this morning in front of our home in South Carolina. Say it isn't snow!
The whole city has practically shut down. We don't have salt trucks. Kids are off school. My hairdresser is playing hookie while my hair remains shaggy for another day.
I found our snow shovel in a deep corner of the garage, a relic from our numerous Midwestern winters. I was the only one on my street shoveling the driveway and sidewalk. I imagine most people around here don't own a shovel.
Tomorrow is another day . . . as the temperatures jump, the snow will go away. That's why I love living in South Carolina.

Debbie, you gotta love snow in the south. It immobilizes everything and forces you to be still. Just as nature intended.
I'm in NC by way of Miami, Trinidad, and New York. When I interviewed for my job here they said there was perfect weather, no snow, and no hurricanes, just mild always. Well that October, there was the threat of a hurricane, and the following January 22 inches. Since then, I've welcomed every snow as I know that I will be able to take the day and hunker down.

Nneka - I'm with you on the idea of using snow to hunker down and be still. I always enjoyed that when we lived in the Midwest for years. I spent all last week back in Ohio helping my parents move in zero degree wind chill and snow. I was looking forward to returning home to warm weather . . .bad timing!
